Ana Pireva

(* 1995 Shumen, Bulgarien)

Shapes, objects and bodies emerge from veil-like and misty surfaces, which often only become recognizable at second glance. Ana Pireva uses calligraphy, ink painting and lithography to explore forms and themes between folklore and self-reflection. Her motifs exude a calm, but also mysterious and enigmatic power.

Prieva was born in Bulgaria in 1995 and moved to Germany at the age of twenty, where she studied with Prof. Ralf Kerbach at the HfBK Dresden until 2021. Since then, Pireva has been a master student of Prof. Kerbach and lives and works in Dresden.
